Book This Workshop →Evan M. Chatman has spent more than a decade turning some of the most difficult conversations into lasting resolutions. With a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation from Abilene Christian University, Evan brings both the academic foundation and the hard-won practical experience that makes him one of Nashville's most trusted voices in mediation and conflict management.
Evan's path to conflict resolution began on the front lines — 12 years as a bus operator with Davidson Transit, where he trained new hires, supported union grievance processes, and observed firsthand how unresolved conflict erodes organizations from the inside. That experience ignited a calling. He pursued his master's degree while working full time, earned his mediation certificate, and founded E. Chatman Consulting in 2020 with a simple mission: help people and organizations stop letting conflict steal their potential.
Since then, he has completed over 826 successful resolutions — serving everyone from school systems and transit unions to conference planners in Las Vegas and Toronto.
Evan's style is direct without being confrontational, warm without losing structure. He believes conflict is not the enemy — it's information. The goal is never to "win" an argument but to create a space where truth can be spoken, heard, and transformed into something better. Every engagement is tailored, confidential, and grounded in decades of research and lived experience.
